VThe Hierophant
Major Arcana · V
The Hierophant tarot card meaning
- tradition
- teachers
- belonging
Upright
The Hierophant hands down what’s been learned before: traditions, teachers, institutions, the wisdom of the group. It’s the card of learning from people who walked the path first.
Reversed
Reversed, the rules have stopped fitting, and it may be time to question an inherited belief rather than keep obeying it.
If you pulled it today
You don’t have to work this out alone. Somebody has faced this before, so find a teacher, a book or an elder and ask. Then keep what fits and leave what doesn’t.
